SumoDog.com is my personal website and is not officially sponsored by any of
the Departments depicted therein.

I was a San Francisco Bay Area photojournalist from 1985 to 1994. My
photographs appeared in The Oakland Tribune, San Francisco Examiner, San
Francisco Chronicle, Hayward Daily Review, Alameda Times-Star, Contra
Costa Times, Contra Costa Sun, Oakland Phoenix, East Bay Express and the
San Francisco Independent.

I have a personal interest in Emergency Services and the people who
provide them. I was a Police Explorer in San Pablo from 1975 to 1976. I
volunteered with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office as a member of Search
& Rescue from 1985 to 2003. I also worked as a Police Services Aide at the
San Leandro Library from 2000 to 2002.

While working as a photojournalist, it was not unusual for police officers,
firefighters, paramedics and other emergency service workers to request
pictures of themselves performing their duties. This website is a way for me
to give back to those who give so much to serve their communities.
